Growing up in a household filled with the melodious strains of South Indian music, Raghu's passion for music was ignited at an early age. He first embraced the strings of the Veena, a traditional South Indian instrument, before fate intervened and introduced him to a new musical love.
At the age of 18, while residing in Hyderabad, India , Raghu stumbled upon a neglected guitar in the recreation room. From the moment his fingers strummed the strings, he was captivated by the instrument's versatility and expressive power. With an insatiable thirst for musical exploration, Raghu immersed himself in the world of Western music, mastering the guitar and discovering new dimensions of artistic expression. Over the years, he honed his skills, drawing inspiration from a diverse array of musical genres and artists. His unique blend of influences shines through in his compositions, which effortlessly traverse across jazz, rock, fusion, and beyond.
Raghu's journey as a musician took an unprecedented turn when he became the first Indian to teach at two of India's premier Western music schools. Drawing from his own experiences as an autodidact, Raghu's innovative teaching methods and profound understanding of music theory left an indelible mark on his students. His commitment to excellence led him to become one of the primary contributors to India's first syllabus for a Bachelor's in Music program acknowledged by the Government of India.
